Bought With A Price

“You are not your own ... For you have been bought
with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.”
(1 Corinthians 6:19, 20, NASB)

At the opening of the new year, what lesson could be more important to us than this one, that we are not our own, but belong to another. Therefore we should seek to please God, rather than self — to serve God, rather than self — to obey God’s will, rather than self-will. We should not only be separated from sin to righteousness, but also separated from self-will to the will of God in Christ.
